Target, the US retailer, has received a new batch of PS3 consoles from Sony. They are the same recommended retail price of $399 but have a new product code (SKU) and inside the box are two ‘free’ games – Resistance: Fall of Man and MotorStorm. Is this Sony’s answer to a much hyped (and needed) price cut? We can’t see any other reason why Sony would produce such a package and it would obviously work in their favour to throw in a couple of games that cost them little to produce rather discount an already loss-leading console. It is not clear if this package will make an appearance in Europe. We’ll keep you posted on any updates.

Looks like this is in lieu of the price cut. Don’t think this will work somehow Sony!
Hello, now sure if you got my comment – just checking. Many thanks.
Thanks for the comment approval guy – really appreciate it.
WalMart recently had a special on, an 80 gig PS3 and three games and three BluRay discs for $499 Cnd.
Problem? They had none in stock anywhere or no plans to have any in stock anywhere. The kid at tht store said he had no idea why it appeared in the flyer.
